The word counter analyses the text you type and tracks seven statistics in real time: total characters, characters excluding spaces, word count, line count, sentence count, paragraph count, and estimated reading time at an average 200 words per minute. All processing happens in your browser without any network requests.

How is "word" defined?
A word is any sequence of non-whitespace characters separated by whitespace. Hyphenated compounds (e.g. "well-known") count as one word.
How is reading time calculated?
The estimate uses 200 words per minute, which is a typical silent reading speed for adults. Actual speed varies by reader and content complexity.
